July 2, 2026, Marshall Islands__President Hilda C. Heine celebrated United States’ 250th Independence Day “BoJuly” jubilations with the U.S. Embassy Majuro, delivering official remarks.

President Heine said, “As the United States marks 250 years of independence, we also celebrate the enduring friendship between our two nations—one built on shared democratic values, mutual respect, and a partnership that continues to strengthen as we work together for a peaceful and prosperous future.”

In her address, she pointed out the, “significance of the United States’ 250 years of independence and reflected on the democratic ideals that have influenced nations around the world, including the Marshall Islands. She highlighted the shared values of democracy, constitutional governance, the rule of law, and human rights that continue to shape the relationship between the two countries.”

She also toasted the US-Marshall relations through generations of shared history, mutual trust, and people-to-people ties, and Marshallese citizens serving in the United States Armed Forces
The Compact of Free Association between the Marshalls and the US exemplifies these tight bonds, she said.
A statement from her office further noted that, “Looking ahead, the President emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in advancing peace, security, prosperity, and addressing shared regional and global challenges, including climate change. She reaffirmed the Marshall Islands’ commitment to working alongside the United States to strengthen the enduring friendship and partnership between the two countries.”
